What: Graphics: Renderings, Master Plans, and Presentations

Come out and join us for our March Event at the Tomlinson Tap Room. If you’ve never been to this location it’s located on the mezzanine level of the Indianapolis City Market. At night the main floor food vendors won’t be open so we’ll have plenty of room upstairs to enjoy a craft brew made in Indiana and share stories from our work experience.
This month we’ll be talking about all things related to graphics; including renderings, master plans, and any other presentation style imagery you care about. If you have a chance please take a minute to print out something from your office (or your studio class) and come prepared with the tidbits of how it was created. What program was used for modelling and rendering? How much of the final image was created in Photoshop or other post production software? How much time was spent / billed for each image? Is the image a digital composite combining photographs with renderings?
On hand we’ll have at least one expert from a local firm to regale us all with stories of Photoshop editing. We hope to see you there. As always feel free to bring your friends.

Per discussion at our Janurary event (thanks everyone for coming out and talking about salaries and other benefits) we’re meeting this month to talk about taking the next steps in your professional career. Whether that’s getting to know the Internship Development Program (IDP), figuring out how to study for and pass the Architectural Registration Exams (ARE), or how to go about completing your registration with the state of Indiana this is your chance to gain insight and perspective from your peers.
We’ll be meeting in the upstairs area of The Elbow Room in downtown Indy to share study strategies and swap war stories over a pint. As a bonus they have $2 tacos Tuesday nights. Joining us will be a few recently registered architects as well as some of the YAF that are currently in the process of completing all 7 sections of the ARE.
