August Event – Marketing for Architects

July Event – Roche Building Tour with AIA & CSI


When: THURSDAY, July 20, 2017 at 2:45pm

Where: Tour – Roche Diagnostics Operations 9115 Hague Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256

Presentation – Willows on Westfield 6729 Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46220

What: This month, YAF Indy will be joining the Indianapolis CSI Chapter and AIA Indianapolis for a Tour of Roche Diagnostics’ recently completed “Building R” Laboratory Building. The tour will provide an excellent example of a “mobile office workplace” as well as energy efficient natural light design and use in accordance with Roche Diagnostic’s corporate design directive.

After the tour, everyone will meet at the Willows on Westfield to hear Randy Schumacher, AIA of CSO Architects present “The Luminous Lab.” In his presentation, Randy will talk about lessons learned and best practices developed during the design and construction of the Roche, Lab Building R project.

Note: Both the tour and the presentation are free events.

June Event – Indianapolis Indians!

What: Join us for a night at the Indianapolis Indians baseball game! Spohn Associates has graciously offered to host YAF in their private suite. Food & beverages are included.

May Event – Client Relationships & TRIVIA

What: Join us for happy hour at Metazoa Brewing Company on May 16th! We’ll be hosting an informal discussion about Client Relationships. Every client is different, and it’s important for us as young architects to learn how developing these relationships creates successful projects.

January Event – ARE 4.0 + 5.0

What: Let’s kick off 2017 together as we discuss the ARE and navigate the new 5.0 version. We’ll be talking about the exam’s new formatting, divisions, resources, and some tips to make the transition easier.
